Our bodies touch I feel

your heat on my chest

and your scent arrest's

me in a state of excitement

my hands slowly move around

your waist and brush against

your hips ever so slowly

spinning me in a dizzy

captivating haze while

the wheel spins before us.

We are in sync as the

potter's wheel spins

ever so slowly and

our hands shape with

every slow turn while

the softness of the clay

on our fingertips moves

up to the palms of our

hands where we sweat

with every twist and turn

and rub of each other's

sensuality.

The creation before us

is only offset by your

soft caress as my chin

rest's on your neck

I feel the pulse of your

life under it and become

excited by every beat

of your heart on mine

as it pulsates against

the heavenly oily scent

that radiates pearls of

sweat down the nape

of your neck teasing

my hot breath there

making it dance

I scream for more.

Just as the most peaceful

still water can change it's

reflection or the simplest

hum of a hummingbird can

stir excitement we as young

lovers together like this can

reflect our soft skin on each

other and be bathed

and colored by a simple

mould of clay in each

others hands.

As we dance silently lifting

rubbing and shaping our

lives are entwined in lust

for our art as we are lost

in this labyrinth of sensations

we continue to rest our hand

on that hard roundness

shaping it to our desire.

Let us slide down the

thin passageway of time

as we drift and dream in

each others arms touching

deep with our fingertips

as we explore what lays

before us on this wheel

of time.

Let us drink our love

for one another in this

bliss of molded clay

as the water thickens

before us and turns

to wine to caress our

lips and quench our

lustful desire for each

other this night in

front of the wheel.

What a classic you have chosen as a backdrop for your lovely poem. Several scenes from that movie stay with me and yet are like brand new each time I watch the movie. God rest his soul. Your poem could easily become a classic as well!

So emotionally disturbed...Have to have some wine my friend! You are the mamadrama male counterpart. Lol! Imagination flies going down the circling clay that embrace both hands...like stimulating all the forbidden senses...Thanks Vincent, Your creativity is reaching the top by the day..and night!

LORD/ Cheers!

Beautiful! You pulled my tears with this one, Vincent, or maybe the music did. When I was young(er), I did not really appreciate, in fact I did not even feel the warmth and strength of my lover's body with the tip of my fingers and the palms of my hands. And nowadays my hands are surely the most 'hungry' limbs/organs in my entire body.

This phrase of yours is a stunner:

'...lost in this labyrinth of sensations...'

Voted up and awesome!

I want to mold clay with you! Now you have me lusting and yearning to mold clay and have the thingy spin and the clay in my hands as I lean back on a hard chest with his chin brushing my neck. His hot breath on my neck sends electric bolts up and down my spine. My mind is in a cloud. Now you make me want to write poetry about molding clay!

I feel it's getting a little warm in here, actually HOT!

Ghost is one of my favorite movies and I remember the first time seeing it I wanted to go out and buy a wheel.

I think we need a hot button to push, but instead I'll just push all the others ones.

That movie stays with me because of its powerful love, and the scene you have chosen is one of my favorites. You words blend and weave in and out of that scene so well. You words brought more feeling to a powerful love scene that has been indelibly etched into my soul.Wow!

@Poohgranma This movie has never left my thoughts and returns from time to again. They were both excellent performers. This is just one scene of many I loved. Yes indeed God rest his soul, Patrick was a gift to us for awhile.

@lord de cross Heck thanks for the compliments, I am simply in the mood as I sipped my red. I don't really know what came over me:-) mamadrama I am not, she holds that title of Erotica Queen. LoL thank you for your kind words as always.

@Martie, you are one of the people I knew would possibly enjoy this. Pulling tears I never mean to do that my friend. You are not alone with those feelings from the past. We humans all yearn for the "touch" we need it in our short lives here to help us get through each day. LOVE and TOUCH are partners. Hugs

@SomewayOuttaHere, good of you to say that.

@Cardisa I know you have strong and tender man in your life, just close your eyes and know that he is behind you, wrapped into your loving soul and you will feel this experience I share here. Now go mold some clay with your man. Hugs.

@Just Ask Susan Thank you my sweet friend for feeling the heat and being prompted to push all my buttons, much appreciated. Now go out and buy that wheel, it's never to late to get your hands working in clay.

@homesteadbound. Yes it haunts me still today as being one of those movies that live with us. We feel their emotions, tenderness, love for each other. The Power of LOVE is so exciting, stimulating and needed in our lives. This is one of those powerful love scenes for sure.

Oh, my, my! This is steamy, hot. I like the sensual nature without it being too over the top erotic. The juxtaposition of such a mundane act and the sensual nature of the two sharing it shows just how heat can be generated anywhere when the chemistry is right. Excellent!

@always exploring Thank you for reading this piece my friend. I have never worked with it but have felt it and yes indeed it would be alluring and sensous to work with, especially the way this couple are.

@Happyboomernurse Thank you as well for your kind words and happy you found it a treat it was one of their best scenes.

@poetvix Yes it's clean not over the topic erotic. Very sensual indeed and between two lovers like this why not? they are expressing their art in both ways. Chemistry between the two right people always is excellent.

@writer20 You will never be able not to see clay in any other way now:-)) thanks for the vote UP

@marcoujour Nah I've been putty in theirs:-) I just took the potter's wheel and made it what it is romantic and with these two stars is sizzled. Sip of seltzer water. LoL

@Nellieanna. Yes I can see you molding clay for some reason:-) Sensous indeed, earthy and responsive to the touch. Potters are sensul, mostly likey they have to be to create what they do like most artist's are. Thank you my dear for your valuable comment as always.

That's so, Ken. My potter friends prided themselves on the fact that their art - so incredibly beautiful - was made to be USED, rather than just seen. In fact, pottery stirs so many of one's senses! I've so much love and respect for it. It seems to reach down below the surface and stir almost primordial feelings! (and so do poems about it - obviously!)

George and I loved "Ghost" too. Your poem is just wonderful.

Vincent Moore - that is certainly an incredible scene. Ghost was highly romantic and sensual. Ghost is the perfect inspiration for the words you have graced us with in, Clay in our Hands.

Your words here have certainly moved and warmed me. I felt the heat, the breath and the strength of a passionate man seated behind me. The longing for more has certainly awakened my senses to the desires you have illustrated here. This is an incredibly seductive and alluring piece. You always manage to take me into the scenery - I love that!

@Bella Nina Thank you for your Hot words.

@Deborah Brooks Thank you for the vote way up, wine indeed, I tip my glass and toast to HOT

@raciniwa Yes indeed not a movie to be forgotten for sure and indeed very titillating in many ways.

@Nellieanna Yes indeed it does stir those primordial feelings, the poems as well. Something about getting ones hands wet and slippery, gives off a sensation even more so when one has Demi Moore sitting in front of them:-) Patrick was a lucky man and so was she, two beautifully pretty and handsome stars to embrace each other in clay.

@drbj Thank you for your words doc. These two may have to see a doctor after their frolicking in clay. LoL

@kittyjj Thank you for your speechless comment. I am happy that you enjoy this share of clay and two lovers.

Very sensual! I know that you draw on your past and depression to pen a significant amount of your poetry. But I believe this side of you, the wanting side, is the one you should work to coax out of the shadows. It's the side that seems to be fighting to be free. Brilliant as always...

Vincent Moore profile image

Vincent Moore Hub Author 6 weeks ago

Lilleyth, glad you took a spin on the wheel, it's refreshing isn't it, yes indeed it's hot in there. lol

@ A.A. Zavala Thank you for your keen observation, I am rarely depressed although I do draw on my past as a boy growing up in a turbulent home. Coaxing out of my shadows is what my Muse is there for, he stimulates my senses and at times draws on this side of me. I am free however chained to my past. Thank you for your accolade, much appreciated my fine writer.
