Clay in our Hands
68
Our bodies touch I feel
your heat on my chest
and your scent arrest's
me in a state of excitement
my hands slowly move around
your waist and brush against
your hips ever so slowly
spinning me in a dizzy
captivating haze while
the wheel spins before us.
We are in sync as the
potter's wheel spins
ever so slowly and
our hands shape with
every slow turn while
the softness of the clay
on our fingertips moves
up to the palms of our
hands where we sweat
with every twist and turn
and rub of each other's
sensuality.
The creation before us
is only offset by your
soft caress as my chin
rest's on your neck
I feel the pulse of your
life under it and become
excited by every beat
of your heart on mine
as it pulsates against
the heavenly oily scent
that radiates pearls of
sweat down the nape
of your neck teasing
my hot breath there
making it dance
I scream for more.
Just as the most peaceful
still water can change it's
reflection or the simplest
hum of a hummingbird can
stir excitement we as young
lovers together like this can
reflect our soft skin on each
other and be bathed
and colored by a simple
mould of clay in each
others hands.
As we dance silently lifting
rubbing and shaping our
lives are entwined in lust
for our art as we are lost
in this labyrinth of sensations
we continue to rest our hand
on that hard roundness
shaping it to our desire.
Let us slide down the
thin passageway of time
as we drift and dream in
each others arms touching
deep with our fingertips
as we explore what lays
before us on this wheel
of time.
Let us drink our love
for one another in this
bliss of molded clay
as the water thickens
before us and turns
to wine to caress our
lips and quench our
lustful desire for each
other this night in
front of the wheel.

So emotionally disturbed...Have to have some wine my friend! You are the mamadrama male counterpart. Lol! Imagination flies going down the circling clay that embrace both hands...like stimulating all the forbidden senses...Thanks Vincent, Your creativity is reaching the top by the day..and night!
LORD/ Cheers!
Beautiful! You pulled my tears with this one, Vincent, or maybe the music did. When I was young(er), I did not really appreciate, in fact I did not even feel the warmth and strength of my lover's body with the tip of my fingers and the palms of my hands. And nowadays my hands are surely the most 'hungry' limbs/organs in my entire body.
This phrase of yours is a stunner:
'...lost in this labyrinth of sensations...'
Voted up and awesome!
..that was very, very good....
I want to mold clay with you! Now you have me lusting and yearning to mold clay and have the thingy spin and the clay in my hands as I lean back on a hard chest with his chin brushing my neck. His hot breath on my neck sends electric bolts up and down my spine. My mind is in a cloud. Now you make me want to write poetry about molding clay!
I feel it's getting a little warm in here, actually HOT!
Ghost is one of my favorite movies and I remember the first time seeing it I wanted to go out and buy a wheel.
I think we need a hot button to push, but instead I'll just push all the others ones.
That movie stays with me because of its powerful love, and the scene you have chosen is one of my favorites. You words blend and weave in and out of that scene so well. You words brought more feeling to a powerful love scene that has been indelibly etched into my soul.Wow!
Molding clay has never been so alluring before, but after reading your poetry, I see and feel it in a new light, oozing with the prospect of a beautiful piece of art and a sensual togetherness. Very beautiful...Bravo
Scorching hot poem that plays beautifully off one of my favorite movie scenes of all time. Bravo! This was a sensuous treat. Absolutely loved it.
Voted up to the heavens.
Oh, my, my! This is steamy, hot. I like the sensual nature without it being too over the top erotic. The juxtaposition of such a mundane act and the sensual nature of the two sharing it shows just how heat can be generated anywhere when the chemistry is right. Excellent!
You're making us see clay in a sensous light. Love your beautiful sexy poem. Voted up and beautiful, Joyce.
Whoa, Vincent, a gal could be putty in your hands if you keep this writing up... earthy, sensuous and oh so lovely!
Voted UP and Awesome and Beautiful! Off to have a sip of seltzer water. Hugs, mar.
I've molded clay. It IS sensuous; - earthy, - responsive, - ah, yes - as are potters.
"Let us slide down the
thin passageway of time
as we drift and dream. . . ."
Well . . . that was hot!!
wow... write more., that was so awesome and HOT!! OH MY... I need a glass of wine after that one.. LOL
WONDERFUL POEM

oh, how lovely Vincent...who could forget this wonderful movie?an all time favorite?titillating...
That's so, Ken. My potter friends prided themselves on the fact that their art - so incredibly beautiful - was made to be USED, rather than just seen. In fact, pottery stirs so many of one's senses! I've so much love and respect for it. It seems to reach down below the surface and stir almost primordial feelings! (and so do poems about it - obviously!)
George and I loved "Ghost" too. Your poem is just wonderful.
What a perfect, sensual poem, Vincent, and what an outstanding perfect photo you chose to illustrate it. Your poetic words appropriatelty enhance my fond memories of that film. Thank you.
WOW! I am speechless! There is so much for me to learn from you here. Beautiful poem! Thank you for sharing it! :)
And Here I was thinking that there was no way that the clay scene from ghost could have been any better, I was wrong.
This was a beautiful enthralling poem filled to the brim with erotic, sensous emotion that turned the temperature up
So very very well done
Vincent! This poem imbues one with a degree of sensuality and, ultimately, a sense of purpose. Your poem renews for me the beauty of that movie.
Voted up, up and away!
Wow! What wonderful poetry combined with such sensuality. Beautiful.
Oh my God Ken, that's sooo sensual. Beautiful words, written like the pro that you are. My favorite movie as well. Great welcome home to me, I may dream of a SWAIN.

Sensual, seductive and romantic! You really create the mood... Lovely.. I am not saying anything more! Have a blessed day! Peace!
Vincent Moore - that is certainly an incredible scene. Ghost was highly romantic and sensual. Ghost is the perfect inspiration for the words you have graced us with in, Clay in our Hands.
Your words here have certainly moved and warmed me. I felt the heat, the breath and the strength of a passionate man seated behind me. The longing for more has certainly awakened my senses to the desires you have illustrated here. This is an incredibly seductive and alluring piece. You always manage to take me into the scenery - I love that!
Although you always feed me just enough - I will always long for more Moore :)
Very sensual and visually stimulating poem. I love it.
Wow, incredible imagery and emotions you have created with your words. Thanks for sharing such sensuality, I had forgotten how cool that scene was.
Well that was lovely. It had great imagery and flowed nicely. Upon the first read I found it possesses good rhythm and excellent use of enjambment to keep the reader rolling to the next line. I can't help but feel though that this would perform better as a prose piece. It is a good poems so please don't misunderstand my efforts at critiquing.
Hot stuff, Vincent! Ghost is one of my favorite classic movies, too. Voted up and awesome!
Well done. Thoughts weaved gently portraying more than a picture. Remembering the blend of Eros and his chosen maiden while reading, the harmony of this song played.
Reading this, I turn to putty. Wow.. This is one of your most powerful voices. Well done!
Bow chic a wow wow, hot stuff indeed!
Very sensual and erotic. Well done Vincent! I always liked that movie, and this poem is perfect to illustrate the feelings they portrayed.
My favourite movie of all time and this scene full of sensuallity and romance and now enhanced with the words of your poem. How could it get any better :)
Most definitely sizzling, there should be a 'hot' button
A Beautiful Erotic Poem that Flowed so Sensually Vincent. Yes, I too Loved that Movie and now with Patrick Swayze gone before his time, it's become even more Poignant.
Sensual and delightful and just sweeps you up and away! I love your poetry and I am guilty of not reading enough of your amazing writing, Vincent! Yup, I loved Ghost the movie and it's one of my favorites.
Voted and pinned!
Wow Vincent ~ this is absolutely breathtaking. The entire package with photo and video and the flow of your gentle words is truly beautiful.
I can add but one thought , all covered above me here , wow ! nothing missing here ,Perhaps just the softest scent of perfume ! You know Vincent not enough women wear perfume ! Or do pottery in front of me !lol......be well my friend .I hit all the buttons.
Oh yes, this one brings back memories of when I use to work closely with the ladies in the old pottery shop. Those days are behind me now and my time at the wheel has been rescinded...But the feel of wet clay lingers on my heart. Good write...very passionate! WB

Yes please! lol!
Sorry I’m late in commenting, but I’ve been besieged with work lately with not much time for anything else. It has occupied my thoughts too much, so I was so pleased to read this wonderful poem. It is a sensual banquet that sweeps over the mind and lingers with a delicious and rhythmic tenacity that is irresistible. As the French would say, “OOOO la la!” Or, “Ce poème est un plaisir doux et sensuel. Merci, cher poète.” :-)
I'm always in love with your word pictures. This is sonorous, beautiful, magical...
Amazing Vincent;as all these comments tell us.
You are such a natural writer and create with apparent ease.
Thank you for sharing and inspiring my friend.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Eddy.
You have the ability to write in a really sensual way that feels classy and interesting to me--I so appreciate that--thanks for livening up my afternoon!
This adds a whole new dimension to the term 'spinning of tales'
Vincent, I'm back! I just had a sudden urge to become a potter and mold some clay! LOL!
Where are the sensual, hot, and passionate buttons? Wow, I was enthralled by that one!
Buying a pottery wheel was the last thing on my mind after watching it...
Somebody open a window!
Very sensual! I know that you draw on your past and depression to pen a significant amount of your poetry. But I believe this side of you, the wanting side, is the one you should work to coax out of the shadows. It's the side that seems to be fighting to be free. Brilliant as always...

What a classic you have chosen as a backdrop for your lovely poem. Several scenes from that movie stay with me and yet are like brand new each time I watch the movie. God rest his soul. Your poem could easily become a classic as well!
